NC House considers medical marijuana

You really think anything will come of this in BillyGrahamland?

RALEIGH, N.C. — Proponents of legalizing marijuana use to relieve pain and suffering in some patients are getting a day at the North Carolina Legislature to speak out.

The House Health Committee scheduled a committee meeting Thursday to discuss a bill that would allow people with debilitating medical conditions to possess an adequate supply of the drug and not be prosecuted.

Hmmmm.. maybe if they moved the capital to Asheville…

  1. I dont see it happening ANYWHERE in the south. and you and I both know why…if it makes sense the biblebelt DONT do it. and this makes sense. Keep in mind that here in GA you still cant buy beer or wine on sunday even if you not a christian. Porn is still a BIG thing and black people are still sometimes called uppity or worse so if you think you will EVER be able to a get a legal joint in the south here’s a bag a rock salt to sprinkle in hell..BTW its harvest time nuff said

  2. I dunno, man. I mean, I agree with most of what you said… but NC is SO BROKE at this point, that if it were framed as a tax revenue issue, I could *almost* see it squeaking by the NC General Assembly. I can almost hear Billy Graham say “Well, I don’t like it… but hell, son… we’re broke!”
