Those Eyes, That Mouth

Sure, it was the name of a Cocteau Twins song… but it could also apply to Kat Dennings:

Kat Dennings

Aside from being incredibly cute, she’s also one of the coolest actresses around (seriously: check out her blog or Twitter feed). She’s funny, kind of nerdy and doesn’t know how pretty she really is (that last part sounds like a girl I know!). As a bonus, she’s going with the pale skin, which is kind of cool in a world of “Hollywood orange”.

January in a Jersey!

OK, so I know this is almost a month old by now, but I just had to share this with you: on November 11, Mad Men star January Jones appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. As luck would have it, Pittsburgh Steelers star Troy Polamalu also appeared on the show that day.

During Polamalu’s bit, Fallon put on a helmet and shoulder pads while Polamalu showed him how to go after a blocking sled. January watched… while wearing a Polamalu jersey!

January Jones: RAWR!

You’ve probably seen the January Jones pictures from GQ already, but this post over at The Superficial has some outtakes, which are arguably hotter:

January Jones in GQ

I read the GQ article tonight… apparently she likes football and beer, she once drank 26 beers in a single night, she’s thinking of going as Troy Polamalu for Halloween, and she once had the booze cut off from her on a British Airways flight… where she was playing quarters and chewing tobacco with the stranger sitting next to her.

Jill Wagner is insanely hot

North Carolina native Jill Wagner was born in Winston Salem on January 13, 1979 and graduated with honors from North Carolina State University in 2001. She was a regular on the MTV show Punk’d, and appeared as a regular on the short-lived Spike TV show Blade: The Series in 2006. She is now one of the commentators on the ABC hit Wipeout, but she’s still known to most as “the hot girl from the Mercury car commercials”, a role she’s had since 2005. And yes, she’s insanely hot!

These pics were taken with an iPhone camera (or something) and posted on Twitter, so the quality ain’t that great… but the subject matter sure is!

Friday Fun: Queen Rania

Holy crap! For years I thought all the kings and queens of the world were ugly inbreds… but then I saw Queen Rania of Jordan!

queen_rania_01

Born on August 31, 1970, Rania al Yassin got a degree from American University in Cairo in 1991. She worked for Citibank and Apple Computer before marrying Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, King Of Jordan, on June 10, 1993. She has pushed for more rights for women and children in the Middle East, especially when it comes to updating schools and attempting to end the practice of honor killings. She’s also really into technology, having her own YouTube channel and Twitter page.

In 2005, Forbes magazine ranked her the 81st most powerful woman in the world, and in that same year Harpers & Queen magazine called her the third most beautiful woman in the world. I can’t say I’d argue there!

More pics after the jump!

FRIDAY FUN: Rachel Leigh Cook

I used to hate Rachel Leigh Cook. Not only was she a self-righteous little snot and total straight edge (she doesn’t drink, smoke, do drugs, or eat meat), she had the nerve to bring her views into my living room by doing those annoying “This is Your Brain On Drugs” commercials (remember her smashing up the kitchen with a frying pan?)

But I’ve mellowed over the years, and I just can’t help thinking that she’s a little cutie. Plus, she seems to have given up on “Corporate Hollywood” and instead does quirky little indie films, which is always cool in my book. I especially like her hair, which is neither brown nor blonde. It appeals to both of my senses:

Friday Fun: Keeley Hawes

Keeley Hawes is the star of Ashes to Ashes, one of my favorite TV shows. She’s also been in Spooks and the feature films The Bank Job and Death at a Funeral.  She was also the lead in a made for British TV movie called Tipping the Velvet, where she played a lesbian male impersonator music hall star. Amusingly, the film was the subject of complaints from both sides of the aisle: angry fundamentalists that said the movie was far too racy, and straight men that said the movie wasn’t nearly racy enough!

Here are some pics of her. The first one is SFW, but the five pictures after the jump contain nudity… glorious nudity!
